I mowed the dirt in the back yard, Upgraded the Blackberry Enterprise Server to SP4 (work junk), got my haircut down at Lefty's, scored a deal on a model A gas tank and window frame and got the 250 that GMC Bubba built onto an engine stand... I have had it for 5 weeks now and I finally moved it - crazy how much you can't accomplish when you have a new baby at home.

Oh, yeah - I re-caulked the kitchen sink - so it's dinner out tonight!

Drove to PA to visit an elderly family member and landscaped all day today. What a beating that was. So much struggle to simply survive in suburbia.

Yesterday...Put a steering stabilizer on the car, adjusted the toe in, and changed the oil pan gasket.

Today...put some exhaust baffles in the pipes, they didn't do much. Drove the car around for a bit.

Worked on Saturday til about 2, then went to look at a truck to buy. Time for a big new diesel for me! :) Today I drove almost into PA to pick up an S10 subframe for my '51 in my buddies pickup. Then I realized that god damn I need to buy a truck.

My '53 sat untouched in the driveway for another weekend, while I troubleshot/replaced the voltage regulator on my NHF project, only to find out that water continually pours of out the water pump weep hole.

So I stripped the front of the engine down and pulled the waterpump (318) and the radiator, as the whole cooling system is getting replaced.

Today I waited for several hours for an auction to end on a XS650 frame for a new project i wanna start, which i ended up losing....

Saturday, we went to the Straykat 500. Drank a bunch of free beer. (Thanks Budweiser guy). Met a lot of cool people, looked at a bunch of cool cars. Spent most of Sunday trying to get over my hangover. If I can get up the nerve I'm gonna try some hair o' the dog treatment. Pretty good weekend.
I'll be back next year. Good times. Josh.

Painted half of my panel, fenders and roof, a f'n aqua color from Hot Rod Flatz. It looks like half a damn Easter egg. Gonna finish it up in a couple of weeks and paint the body a creamy yellow so it looks like a whole Easter egg. Maybe even put a couple of stencils of rabbits carrying baskets on it.

I put new front springs on the '50 thanks to information from the H.A.M.B. on using Aerostar springs to lower the car 3 inches. My old springs were in such rough shape that 3 inch drop springs raised it up almost an inch, but it rides a lot better.

Any pix? No way, too embarrassed. Colors are way too gay. But hey, I can't stop now.

  17. Felt like 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag yesterday because I get severe migraines...Today I got up and cooked the wife breakfast and left for the junkyards. Scooped all of the trim and some glass from a 56 Savoy for my sons Regent, picked up a Chevy straight front axle with leafs, several vintage tin cans, barn door glass from a 49 Chevy panel, one back window from an old Cornbinder, gauge panel from an old wooden boat "crecent needle AC cable drive tach". Stopped at the dump and scored a just removed dual exhaust system from the header flanges back and another vintage tin can. Got home and did some work on the deck ,the railings are rotten. Now I,m just fucking tired.......

Thanks for the heads up on the MENUDO. I had some cans of Menudo that I thought I wanted to try. I might get up the nuts to one of these days. Those cans sat around so long they expired though. :) I never knew that it was a hangover cure. Time to buy some more. Later Josh.

Was going to take my 39 Buick to Canfield swap meet, but there were bad thunderstorms over there. So I stayed home to finish my 454 Chevelle.Had it running out behind the garage filling the antifreeze, went back in the garage to get some more. When I came back out the car was gone.Dam E brake kicked off[I tried it again after this happened and the release handle apparently doesn't have enough spring left to fully engage the pawl]and the car rolled down a slight hill about 30 yards right into the front of my truck.Screwed up the rear bumper,1/4,trunk won't open, just made a mess out of the car.It is darn hard to find much here in NY with the original sheetmetal, but this car had it and it was nice.Yeah it hurt the truck too but I could care about that.No insurance on either one, both off the road.So I went backward this weekend.Better days are coming!

I finished of the stripping of a donor s10, 4.3 going in my jeep, swapped the trans & transfer case for a trans for the 55 wide window.

Picked up a sweet Crossfire injection setup off an 84 vette, not sure what IO am going to do with it, but to good to pass up. (i know Crossfire????.)

Biggest accomplishment was making a hole in the garage big enough for the little woman to get her car in. She better get home soon, Nature hates a vacuum!

Well saturday went to a high school girls softball tournament. It was two and half hours away. Two hours away from home and got a call that it was cancelled because of the stupid rain. So then we decided to drive over to Yogi's. I got a gas tank for my 46 Ford sedan. Found some cool old stuff along the way but forgot the camera.

Sunday took the 46 around the block and got one of the two cars in the driveway running. I could not get the battery charged up on the TPI V8 Blazer that is sitting in front of the garage door. I need to get a car that has been sitting on the trailer for a week and half off the trailer and into the garage. New Project;):):D

Oh yea mowed the lawn for the 1st time this year too. That sucks....

  29. Spent Friday nite and all day Sat. slinging mud on the 49 Ply. Should have just looked for better fenders. Mud, sand, repete. Hope to get it in primer by Friday of next week. Weather is getting nice, need to start driving it.
