to rebuild a flattie or not to rebuild a flattie.. that is the question

    should i just fix the bad lifters or go through the whole motor and do a mild rebuild?? whats is the best company to buy my rebuild kit from..?

    I've had very good luck with parts from Joblot in New York. If lifters and cam have worn badly its time to check all the bearings. Sorry - but sounds like a time to go thru the whole engine.

    How is the lifter bad? I have replaced one that had collapsed and the engine is still running strong. If it's worn I would say time to tear it down.
