    Mike, and Mick,

Thank You for the compliments on my car. It’s been a long time coming; but I think it was worth the wait. I drove 602 miles for my shake down to the show and back, other than a couple leaks (power steering hose and pinion seal) and my converter staying locked most of the time, no major problems. It was a Great show; you know I’ll be back!

    Thanks Again,

It is one of my buddies car. What do you want to know? It is pretty cool, we drug it out of a barn and did not do anything to the exterior other than scuff the blue.
I got more pics on the link on the other SK 500 post. I will try to dig it up!

Glad to see some custom pics finally Mick, Looks like some killer customs made it out. I was thinking the rat rods had invaded your show too. We gotta get back up there and see you. We will see you in Mokan though

We had a few, but some of the ones that get tag'd a "rat rod" were actully well thought out Hot Rods.. You would be looking at them and you would notice detail after detail. Look forward to seeing ya in Mokan.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

    Rusty,

Like Mick said, some of the "natural finish" cars were very well constructed and showed a lot of ingenuity. This one impressed me a lot. Little touches like the frame notches for header clearance and the 1/4 eliptic triangulated rear were very well done. This truck was also a unibody with the cab being intigrated into the frame. I will bet it has a solid feel to it. A friend of the owner told me it IS scheduled for paint. I will be interested to see this one finished.

Fred, what I gotta know is, did you get pulled over by the cops on the way home? Like, did you have a 12 gauge shell in your glove box or anything! Man, you tell the funniest stories I've ever heard!

thanks for the props on my little blue truck. i took me 4 years to build it and i just finished it before the roundup so if felt good to get it out. i made my shake down run by driving it back to texas from the show with no problems. i do not have any better pictures of the truck finished.

Mick, I cant thank you enough for putting on the show that you and all your helpers did! This is the actual show that got my interest back into hot rods and customs. After growing up in this wonderful world of cars I guess I got turned on to other things. But it was the Stray Kat 500 that re-lit the spark that had gone out many years ago. THANK YOU! Now I have a pretty sweet mild custom that finally made it to the only important show(to me) of the year!

I had more fun than I can even express. Again Thanks!

Ill have my pictures up shortly!
