I'm in. I'm actually building a custom bike for a customer! Never thought I'd be a "custom bike builder" LOL. I'm going to see if I can arrange to have it there too. Other wise, you get to see another 1/2 finished pile from me, if I get my truck back together in time to haul it.

I'll be ther either way. Gene

Man...would like to go...a little too far. Here is a bike I did for a co-worker from a frame my neighbor was throwing away when he was moving out. Good luck.

Lots of really nice bikes!

    I got a question...

Do you guys with the bikes with the nose of the saddle sticking up actually ride them that way with the nose up in your scrote?

That's gotta make ya sing soprano...

Or is that just the "for show" position like when the lowrider bike guys take the springer spring out at shows and use a pedal for a side stand?

Take a look at the pics of our board track racer. I assume that's the one in question. Yes the seat is in the same position when my brother is riding it in the pic. The reason why they angled them back is when your pedaling hard if one of your feet were to slip off you wouldn't slide forward and crack the old privates on the cross bar. No, the bikes are not just for show, we ride them too.

My bike that i finished spring 2007. well, i shouldn't say, "finished" but "got it riding." the seat post is stuck in there and until i get it out to replace it, i can't install the new post/ seat. sorry about the quality of the picture. it's from a camera phone and is the only one on my computer right now.

to be honest, i'm not exactly sure what it is. I am confidant that it is a 1958 AMF Roadmaster (due to the research that i've done) and the ad i was able to find that looks strikingly similar to my bike.

The original front-fork was bent and beyond repair. I replaced it with a new Electra front fork as well as "drive train." The chain guard is something that i found, and i tried to get the dents out as best i could. I had the fork and chain guard powder coated silver to blend in with the rest of the bike. Also, there's new wheels and tires (Electra wheels).

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you can have it next year. That will give everyone two years to get some done. If the price of gas keeps going up we will be riding them to the Build Off. :)

I built this bike about 5 years ago. Frame & forks are stainless steel with a mahogany "tank". [IMG]

  16. ....just another victim of our descending economy;...I was lookin forward to it as it was somethin fun to do close to home. I think I'll be stickin closer to home all summer.
....if anyone wants to show off their bikes they are welcome to bring them to the "Scrap Drive" on June 7th...I'm bringin at least one of mine.
....thanks for lettin us know about the cancel,...maybe next year.

Yeah, Maybe next year Sam. We don't know at this point, it seemed like last year was smaller than the year before. We do thank you and the other guys (Scott and Gene) for the support in the past.

I think they changed their mind at work and we won't have to work on saturday. That will probably change by friday though. Maybe I will tear down a bike this saturday to get ready for next years event. :)

Sometimes you got to get out of the truck and walk through a field to find that "old car". Maybe climb a fence or two. Thats work. lol

Well crap! I was looking forward to this. I even got the permission of the owners of bike I'm building to bring it out and show it off. By next year is will just be a dirty old used bike..... Now I have to find something constructive to do, like build the motor for my truck. Guess I'll catch up with you guys someplace, maybe the Scrap Drive? Gene

Were going to try to hit the Scrap Drive Gene. Probably take the roadster, it's alot better on gas. Were thinking of a everyother Friday or Saturday evening burger and beer run to Ridott. Thanks again for the support in the past.

Yea, I hear you about wanting to use as little gas as possible. I sold my coupe, so all I have here now is my old blue 4x4 and I have the motor out of it right now. All we have here that even runs right now is a rusted beat up Dodge Dakota and my wifes PT. Doesn't look to be many "car shows" this year for us. Gene

Oh yea burger and beer run. That would be cool.
Or on sundays a pizza and beer run to Savanna. That would make the ride home interesting.

  29. ...yeah,...let's do the Ridott or Savanna thing sometime,or even Jacks in Forreston, ...sometimes the smaller local things are more fun anyway.
    ...just pick a date.

,,,here's my "barn find" dirt tracker I was gonna bring to the build-off.
