Wish I could come...two things against me, I gotta work and the truck is now in peices strapped to the roof of the garage (only thing thats not is the cab, bed and frame)

thats not totally accurate, the engine is in the kitchen dining room

Salty : Just cuz you got parts all over doesn't mean you can't show up in the modern iron, mang! Ride the bicycle, cruise the sneakers, show up in the rowboat... we don't care. Meetin new folks is what it's all about.

 

I'll try to make it...have to thrash on a car if I want to drive something cool, though...

 

How late in the afternoon will ya'll be there?? I will be flying in midday and would be ecstatic in being the only sober one there at that time of day.....

 

LOL That all depends on how good the beer and boobs turn out to be... Oh yeah, and the conversations too.

Just got back from JAX ...Never seen so many PT Cruzers & Vets at a few cruses ... ;-(

 

Hey can't make it because I'm out of town but I would love too. I just got out to Jax 3 weeks ago and looking for some good get togethers...I've got plenty of questions about the area and the car scene here...how often do you do this?

 

Will be there. Again less car. Guess I need to build and keep one. FYI Veterans Car Show the 17th at American Legion on San Juan.

 

Its Saturday and the forecast is for 91 and breezy. Looks like Kim will be cruisin the Buick and I'll be givin the roadster a workout. If yer old stuff ain't ready, make the scene in the modern iron. This is all about meeting the locals and makin new friends. So don't sit home, c'mon out and introduce yerself!

Thanks goes out to Joliet Jake for organizing the GTG and lettin me drool over his gorgeous and tuff-ass soundin 32 coupe. Good GAWD that's a thumper!!

We gotta keep this thread goin so we can do this as a monthly or bi-weekly deal. That way the people that couldn't make it out this time can roll out to the next one. It's always good to meet new new people and see what's being built around you.

I agree... the attendance was small but we had quality, not quantity. It was also cool meeting Chicken and his gal Jaci for the first time. Yep, we need to keep it going, even if the 'official meeting' is only monthly, quarterly, etc.

 

Thanks guys but the pleasure was all mine, it was great to meet you all. How about a Saturday next month, but probably not Fathers day weekend. And next time, let's have one of you guys pick a place to meet, not that I have a problem with Hooter's but you may want a change of scenery, just as long as the beer is cold and the wings aren't too greasy. Oh hey Nitro, yer goin to the wrong cruise-in! And Dave, I can't wait to see the pics Chicken took, how did the shoot go?
