What's your caster set at? 6-8 degrees?

Your toe in shouldn't be more than 1/8".

1/2 inch in sounds a bit much but that should not cause a death wobble. My guess is that something is loose or you have a severe bump steer problem. post some detailed pics of the front end/axle set up.

An introduction would probably be a good idea too.

I agree. I rarely go more than 1/8 in and never more than 3/16 in. if you need more than 1/8 inch of toe in to keep it stable you have another problem.

Pics! If you didn't go with crossover steering, there is your problem. If your drag link is connected to the drivers side spindle, you arm is too short and/or at a weird angle, thus the bump steer. Move the arm to the p***enger side spindle and make sure the link is as close to level as you can get.

thats usually the problem .... drive the car over some dips and bumps with the steering wheel loosely gripped , so that the wheel will move in your hands...usually as the suspension moves , the wheel will move....i added a spacer to drop my draglink till it was parallel to the ground and the other draglink..... took care of a bunch of the bumpsteer..... brandon:D

As Mercury kid said, Pics, guys can most likely tell what may be wrong by seeing the pics.
As Flatman and Wesley said toein should be 1/8" give or take a 1/16. 1/2 would eat the tires in less than under a hundred miles. I can't think of any situation where you would want that much toe in in.

It does sound like you might have steering linkage issues. And it would be interesting to see how you have the shocks set up.

Just save yourself a lot of headache and add a steering dampner. That is after everything is aligned.

I had the toe at 1/8 and there was no difference, I rechecked my caster degree and it is about 3 degrees....drag link angle doesnt look to bad[IMG]

my anglia only had maybe a 1 1/2" of drop....mostly because i didn't want the rod end on the top of the steering arm...in the end i spaced the draglink down from the steering box and put the rod end on top of the steering arm....it survived detroits pot holes with hardly any crazy moves...:D now try that pic again..... brandon:D

Three degrees of caster seems sort of small. Keep in mind it could be an interaction between the caster setting and bumpsteer.
