Can a 54 Chevy 2 door Bel Air be put on a 1950 Chevy 2 Door Styleline Deluxe Frame? Are these frames exactly the same or is there going to be modifications involved?

It should fit, but the suspension, x member do differ. Keep the 54 front parts if you can.

the differences between the frames for 49 - 54 is the transmission crossmember. just the main one that goes from side to side.

if you are putting an open drive in it it does not matter. powerglides are different from stick and 49 and 50 are different from the rest... I think

I have a 50 with fat man ultra low frontend bagged and the rear is c notched and bagged, but the body is pretty bad. I bought a 54 yesterday that the body is good on and thought I would see about swapping chasis if I could. It would me some cash in the short run.
