Guys we looking for input and ideas on home made cross members,MC brackets, motor mounts and trans mounts for a Model A frame. Looking for ideas for the hambandy frame.Seems this thing is going too slow for us and we need to step up and get this thing done.We want to get more people involve in the build and myself and Hackerbill are doing most of the fabbing, I figure if we had a bunch of small projects that can be made we can put to work the people that show up for the build each weeks. Everbody wants to help but don`t know what they can do. I figure someone here can give us ideas on things that can be done till the frame is a roller. The frame will have a V8 flatty with a C4 behind it and a 9 inch out back. Looking for ideas on The motor mounts for the frame and also ideas on the MC mounts as well as any crossmembers like for the trans mounts and anything else you can think of. Pics would be great that way we have something to show them when it come time to fab the parts. So any frame pics you might have with neat brackets on them by all means post it. here is a link to the Hambandy build so far

    We're good Fitz!
You bring in the rear axle tomorrow night and we'll get that sorted out for the others to get the housing blasted, new bearings on the axles and seals...plus do the cleanup on the chunk and a pinion seal. Drums and brake shoes/hardware need sourcing as well.
I have the chunk pulled from the donor already and I'll be bringing it up to your place tomorrow night...clean, tight and 28 spline!

We can't consider engine or trans mounting until we have the adapter for the c4 and can put it together...same goes for the truck arm crossmember. (unless we want to fudge it a little rearward???)
The truck arms need to have basic fab done by us and then the pieces can be blasted and worked over...including fabrication of the upper and lower plates + picking up the Ubolts etc. I'll make the front bushing tubes and weld them in but we can't mount the rear plates till after we lock down the length/angle.
The full front and rear springs can be blown apart and detailed...even if we do pull a leaf or two later.
I have the front wishbones fully spliced but have to get the side gusset material Saturday.
    (Man...they welded SO nice...:D)
They'll be ready for full ***embly once we lock down the firewall location so we can get a specific length. Brake pedal/cylinder is dependant on firewall location as well.

The donor Tierod ends for the bones are good enough for mockup and the donor tubes that Chris sourced so fast are fine to use.
The frame drops can be made by someone else too...we'll just spec them longer to allow for caster setting and trim them to fit. I'll shape up the tapered ****ons Saturday as well.

Theres LOTS to do...we just need to do a better job of distributing the work to whomever can handle each task in a timely fashion!
AND we need early parts ordering...THATS one area where we're falling short.
We need to nail down the parts farther into the future and get it ordered ASAP.
    Thats a biggie.

Well it felt like a good nite all around. Although lost parts are located and should be here in a day or so we still proceeded with the task on hand. And as Ton2660 said Andy showed up looking like he fell of the cover of a hot rod movie, sporting his vans and lucky 13 jacket...............

And you think you guys dont influence Andy..............think again. We were outside loading his flat head in the truck when i said joking to Andy..........jesus i should roll you and take you kick *** jacket for me, Glen said he would help me in this task........so Terry (Tonn2660) said ill help Andy. So with that i chose Andy to s**** with and told him to get ready that i was having his jacket........ Maybe you guys who cruised Andy while he was in hospital had tought him something......Andy piped up and said.............ya wont get my jacket, I got a knife...............i almost pissed myself laughing, thinking of this picture.........
