Just sent irishpol a MO to promote/help both causes. I think it's a great way to help casey and get a dvd I can watch and dream about the Round up. Good luck Casey and don't be afraid to accept the help cuz we're not afraid to send it.

    Edit: my lousy grammar.

:eek:Update:eek:Just talked to Collin and he is back from the clinic. The bloodwork came back with no infection in his system:) the remaining test will come back tomorrow:confused:. He did get to see a doc for a quick exam and it looks like the gallbladder, liver & pancreas (sp?) are not swollen and sore to the touch:) -- but he is having problems with fluids not going through:( His back is still really sore and he is pretty weak:(

He is going to take the good doctor up on the appointment for next week so we don't have to send anyone over to rough him up anymore than he already is:D

Everyone keep him in your thoughts and prayers --- he has to get hisself well --- this place is way to quiet without him!!:D:cool::p "Collin we love you"

I want to say thanks to everyone that has steped up to the plate to help Caasey out. Dennis said it best, so I will just have to agree! But are you sure that his liver is OK? It might be running a few ounces low on beer. That my freinds may be the problem. Ron I sent you a PM. call me.

Casey told me today that he has not had a beer since Saturday. He probably has too many red blood cells in his alcohol system. Casey did say that his back was feeling better, maybe even good enough to drive, but he was still going to take his friend up on her offer to drive him to the doctor.

I will check with him tomorrow.

sorry to hear about this. wish i were in a better financial situation so i could try to help.

  14. Anything to help out a fellow HAMBer, Skot. I know Collin & everyone else would do the exact same thing we're all doing now, helping out.

I usually have a semi-hectic schedule, but I'm not too far away from him out here in Spicewood & could pitch in if he doesn't have a ride to the Doc's office.
I could maybe shuffle stuff around to help.
You know, Plan B kinda shit, hehe. Just in case, the offer stands.

Got it Collin?! Get well ASAP, man.

  15. Also, super thanks to the Keller Krazy Bunch for all the help, too.

I haven't formerly met you all, but I've heard some stories. from Collin, of coarse.

    Really, thanks to everyone.

I am sorry to hear about a fellow HAMB'er getting hurt, I would love to send him some dough, I know firsthand about the costs associated with a back injury. Unfortunately, in October, I was injured in the line of duty and the WC ain't paying like the job did. I am on the mend, and hope to find reemployment soon. My employer cut me loose after the injury. Collin, hope you feel better soon, I personally couldn't function with out my bone cracker.

VERY generous offer. The world needs more MD's like you and DOC. My hats off to you.

Collin, thinking of you often and praying for a speedy recovery.

I talked to Casey about an hour ago and he sounds alot better than he has in the last couple of days. Casey said that he feels better and is still sore but is up and around, just taking it easy. I am going to go out and see if there is anything he needs help with or just hang out.

Belive it or not, but i am in a similar situation:eek:
3 weeks ago my lower back gave away as i was lifting a TV at work,
both of my legs went nume, then i was carried out into my car and got home. After crawling to the chiro tvice i felt fine, and was able to both go to work, and also work on the dragster.
Yesterday same story:eek: So now i am forced to lie down with my laptop, not able to nothing else. The worst part is that id hope to fiish the dragster before june, but dont now if i can make it:(!?

    Get well Casey.

Casey is doing better. He is up and around but moving very slowly and trying to follow doctors orders about not doing anything to aggravated his back. Casey has been able to eat a little and he is able to keep fluids down. All things considered he is in good spirits. I dont want to put words into Casey's mouth, however I can say the he is truly humbled by the outporing of support from the H.A.M.B.

p.s. I have been in Casey's position, injured, self un-employed, uninsured and living alone. I can tell you that it really sucks.
