    Hey all,
Well, a little disappointed (but not too much), I got a 1955 Ford shortly after I got my T and with the whole "not much of a welder background" thing going for me, I put the T on hold for a while and began working on the '55. Here are a couple of pics of the progress. And much thanks to my boyfriend, Monkeysmooks, for helping me to weld (teaching me to weld) to get this done. By the way, hats off to all you guys and gals that do the 'clean up work' that keeps everything pretty! I like the cutting and grinding and the metal work (beating the heck out of metal really helps relieve stress). But, cleaning up the dirt and rust to paint is a real pain in the ass!!!! so HATS OFF to you guys and gals!

I keep telling myself that this is not supposed to be a show truck, this is supposed to be a 'run to the store', 'local car show', and possibly 'local antique shopping truck'. I can't tell if i'm taking it too far to be my 'not afraid to hop in and drive' or if i should just keep going until i'm satisfied. In either case, I need a long board for sanding and tips on how to use it, cause my bondo work sucks (and i've got to try to fix where i welded in the patch panels).

Here's my soon to be color scheme if I can get the body work done. (It's not gray primer color, even though it is suspicously close.)

I'll try to post some pics of the actual body work done so far later this week. So you guys can tease me properly.

So, a little bit of a dilemma with my body work. The front of the hood is not turning out with the right curve, actually it's not curved at all it's more uh, not sure what the right word is, but it's not working... I'm really liking the "block sanding" thread that's going on right now too... I've learned a lot (except how to fix my hood problem). Here's my current progress, I have to sand down the corners again and put another coat of bondo on those too.

Any suggestions on getting the "45 degree angle" out of the front of this hood would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, i'm calling the color "flat electric blue" becuase it's not really white and not really blue. I think the paint guy made a fortunate mistake because the paint is no where near the sample i picked out but it's actually the color that i was imagining (if that could make any sense).
