thanks everybody. it has a 6" chop. im 6'-2 and i could fit ok with a custom made seat. we have a glide to put in it which isnt to comfortable for me but the owner is only about 5'-7 so he fits alittle better! the cab on this one was damn near perfect with very minor rust, and had a headache rack on the back so the rear had just some iddy bitty dings. the doors on the other hand...

heres a few more pics along the way. the owner purchased the frame already set up for the small block, so all i got to do was move around some tubes that were in the way, split the wish bones and mounts and fab some rear shock mounts. fabbed up a gas tank to sit under the bed behind the cab, did the exhaust and somehow got talked into doin the paint...what a nightmare. the next one i get to play with will be more fun on the frame and suspension, not channeled and only chopped 4", but he wants it pretty low.

the color is a custom blue. the paint chips look like the color on the truck but when sprayed they looked this color! so i put some black tint in it to get it to the desired color. i get to do some more paint matching and painting tomorrow for the bed.....fun yaaa.

Nice looking truck. What did you do for steering?

  25. You should push the front axle out about 18", channel it at least 6", sand off that shiny paint, and add lots o'skulzzz. Or leave it like that, because that's perfect!

    bed mounted yet?
im realy wanting to do the same set up (32-34 pickup on deuce rails) but have been having a hard time seeing the bed look good after you get the railed pinched to fit the cab good.

  30. Very nice. Can't wait to see her finished.
