I joined in 06. I don't care about any discounts (although they would come in handy if needed). I'm just glad there is a decent, high quality hot rod site that I can enjoy and learn from. Not to mention I've met some of the coolest peeps on here!

In '06 I sold a horn ring in '07 a flywheel. They were my designated 'Alliance Parts.' Once I sold them, the money went to Ryan and it has worked great. I haven't bought anything 'officially' using the membership but that isn't the point.

I've gotten more than $50 of parts and help each year.

  9. I lurked forever, then signed up. I told myself if I stuck with the site until I was a "Grenade Inspector" I would join.
Have'nt ordered any parts, or gotten any discounts, and still think this is one of my best cash outlays so far.

Just the tech info is worth it, think about how much you'd have to spend on magazines, books, etc, and maybe still not find anything as useful. Not to mention the great people, and laffing yerass off at some of the great humor!

I joined to suppport the site.

Yes, I have more than made back the 'buy in' in savings from the vendors.

Hey, Lobucrod, do they only teach that to the vendors, or do I have to bitch at my local postal clowns, again?:D:confused:

I am although at this stage there is little chance I'll get to use the discount scheme but its still been one of my best investments based on what I have learnt. Im thinking of being an Alliance Vendor too in a few weeks.... Just do it.

It's not about the numbers as much is it is about the benefits you get not only in Alliance vendor discounts but the big BENEFIT you recieve is from the HAMB itself and all it's members. So..if you haven't yet, "get er' done", I guarantee you will not regret it.

I haven't bought a single part since I joined but I don't care - I joined because I have received so much info via the HAMB and this was my way to give back. I just dropped my subscription to 2 magazines and "viola" - HAMB tag in the mail!
