Ok. I had a feeling this would happen eventually. I got up this morning, went to go get in my wagon, no gas cap? I go to start it, no gas. I got siphoned. I think I spelt that right? Anyone know what locking gas cap will work on a '53 Plymouth wagon??? If you all out there don't have one, It would be smart in getting one now. Just a heads up. KNUX!

These *******s will even get through a locking cap. Place I worked at they busted that cap off with a pipe wrench. I think the cap was almost thirty bucks and they trashed it and stole the whole damned tank full.
yeah, just like the 70's, during the last fuel crisis, stealing gas is back in style. keep an eye out for these guys, as i've heard they are back in business.... -scott noteboom
You just need to get a REAL BIG TRUCK and catch up to em ..... What can also work is this: @ http://www.fueltankaccessories.com/ or this: @ http://www.truckprotect.com/?gclid=CPP_lOOcn5MCFR0-Igod3R0OrA It seems all the products installed in the filler neck are for trucks or diesel trucks, but one of these links may have something to offer ....
It is nice to be loved. Funny, I ask for advice and I get this negative feedback. Thank you to those that actually give a **** in the matter. I will learn to look elswhere next time....
That stinks ! I figured that it would start happening also . Our dailys both have locking caps on 'em (old Volvo "rod" & old Jetta) . I should get one for my SVT Focus ... that bish runs on PREMIUM ! It sits in the garage though . As xderelict said , keep your eyes peeled for a second round . I like the idea of lead subs***ute too - that'd fix 'em !
My gas filler tube has a rubber hose connecting the filler spout and the tank. I took out the rubber hose and put a thick piece of steel mesh over the spout coming off the tank and reinstalled the rubber hose. Now you can't get a hose into my tank. And my car sets low enough, you cant get to the tank from underneath the car. If they really want my gas, they'll get it, but I think I made it hard enough, that they'll go elsewhere for their gas.
The problem with my car is that it has to be parked on the street 24/7 where I live. Some prey to win the lottery, I just prey to have a driveway and garage. KNUX!
Hmmm. A GUY asks other GUYS for advice, then pisses and moans because other GUYS give him ****. How long you been a GUY, guy?? This never happened to you before the surgery, right?? Your doctor should have told you this during the orientation. Now put on your big girl ******* and DEAL WITH IT!!!! Oh, yeah, put a little diesel in the tank, or even just a "diesel-only" sticker. That might throw off the thieves, most of whom are stupid enough to believe a sticker. Cosmo
i went low tech on this problem, a dog with hyper-sensitive ears and an empty 12 gauge shell inside the gas door on my old ford pickup.....i think the hint is subtle yet unmistakable......who really wants to die with that taste in their mouth.......
Ha Ha thats funny right there... Ya i was just ****ing with him but I guess someone pissed in his cheerios this morning.. Happy mothers day .. Dave
Like I stated, I don't do it to others when **** happens to them. I just try and give advice. And no, my cherrios did not get pissed in this morning, but thanks for the ADVICE anyways. I have been on here long enough to deal with. One more thing, it amazes me how many people on here can talk **** to others, being behind a keypad. When I see them at shows, not a word is spoken....happy mothers day to you too.
I saw on the news the other day where the *******s put a bucket under a couple of trucks and just punched a hole in the tank......it wasn't bad enough they stole the ****ing gas but had to ruin the tanks too. I think if I was getting syphoned once in awhile I would rig a second tank to the regular filler and fill it with a mix of gas and something really nasty (I don't know what yet...but I'll figure it out) then put the real filler in the trunk.
i've heard of people stealin diesel from construction trucks along the high way, even from truck stops. good way to see the business end of a gun or some kind of motovater. i gotta keep my eyes open as well. mustang runs the good stuff, n at 4.05 a gallon.... i guess everyone needs 2 keep an eye out.
once at a trailer park here there was an ongoing problem with kids stealing fuel for their mini-bikes...one night this guy hears a noise that sounds like someone vomiting next to his camper .....he runs out and theres a hose hanging out of the breather port for the chemical toilet...and a pile of chuck on the ground.
