Just curious, but how many 1959 & 1960 Cadillac people are here in the Kansas City area?

I'm trying to find out who my neighbors are... and to a lesser extent, who I can source parts from (or vice-versa).

Hey, if I can drive 3 hours one-way on a whim to pick up parts, what's 24 hours between friends? :D

I've found a few sources locally for '59 & '60 Cadillac parts, but am surprised that no one locally has piped up. Surely I'm not the only guy...

The Caddy Lasalle club is a horrible place for technical questions and most replys are pissy. A lot of snobs... they have free forums... check them out.
They have a modified section which they ban our types to (and look down on you) but they still collect the same membership fee.

I've had interactions with them in the past, and found that sometimes, although the attitude is there, as long as they don't know what you're doing with the parts, or are purchasing parts from you that you'll never use, they actually aren't all THAT bad. They seem to be mostly purists for the most part, and the modified guys aren't all THAT bad either.

Either way, I'm just looking to hook up with a few local guys that can tell me that "Old Man Jennings from Jennings Tree Service has a couple of '60s he's parting out - one of 'em has power vent windows," or "___ Junkyard has some '59s, check it out!"

You know, folks that I can swap parts car locations/parts with...

I've been eyeing up a '63 Cad Fleetwood 75 nearby. I started doing some research on Cadillacs and ended up with so much info and pics, it resulted in a page on my site. Here's the direct link:

Ah, the Series 75 Commercial Chassis... they'll ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. :)

    I've had a '55, a '56, and 2 '70s over the years... 2 hearses, and 2 ambulances.

IF you're not already familiary with the Professional Car Society, they have a site and forum at: http://www.professionalcar.org/ They're a great group of people. However, PCS is more about the maintenance, restoration, and preservation of original cars rather than customization and rodding. Still, a great source of knowledge and parts!
