I believe Por15 is meant to be a primer and you cover it with ch***is black. It will fade with UV rays on its own.

I have painted the ch***is with por15 and topcoated with BLACKCOTE gloss witch is not affected by sun.
My question is can dull areas be buffed out and runs sanded and buffed back to gloss??

POR 15 is a resin based product - I would suspect it will behave like fibergl*** gelcoat and should polish up, but you will need to topcoat it again to prevent UV degradation. I cannot understand why they have not added a UV stabilizer though.

Did you use the gloss or semi gloss version? The reason for the inconsistancy of the finish is because it was not stirred long enough. You really need to stir for 2-3 mins.,and s****e the bottom it settles.

RUN'S!! Well painting Blackote thinned with a spray gun on a 4" tubular ch***is with heaps of stuff poking out was quiet easy for me LOL.
Just need to get some runs out and buff some dry overspray areas without stuffing the whole thing up!!
Oh yeah proper resperator and dont get the **** on ya hands...........;)

I had a similar experience, on a diffy I painted. Seems to be some kind of chemical reaction Cured paint to new paint. Ended up topcoating everything again. (mostly 'cause all the pockets/ ribs would have made polishing lunacy).
I Do know you can treat it pretty much like any other paint, and in fact, there is a builder out there that uses it like a rustproofing/primer. I was told by a rep that you can indeed sand and topcoat it, sooo....
One thing for sure, Don't Cost Ya Nothin' to try!!
