Alright, so I'm at work today talking with this guy, (he's paranoid schizophrenic BTW), and he's activily hallucinating and delusional. Out of nowhere he stops and says, "I am the LORD OF HELL FIRE!" Well, this trips me out. Not that he's hallucinating I deal with that **** everyday, but that Germ now has some compe***ion. He's ready and says he'll meet you at Bonneville! Ok, just kidding about that. Anyway, onto related things. I do have a couple questions... 1st - First time trying to bleed my brakes and need some guidance. They're stock 49 Ford...sorry not much else I can tell you. Just haven't been able to build the pressure up... 2nd - I'm still dealing with my rear shackles. They just won't flip up like I was told. I've gone as far as loosening everything and taking the spring off at the rear end. The shackle will move up just fine when the spring is off, but then the spring does not mate up with the shackle. Am I making sense or is this a lost cause? Any help is greatly appreciated!
1.The brake problem: is the pedal soft? Has the master cyl. been rebuilt/replaced? All line's good? Wheel cyl. work properly? 2. Need more info on what your trying to do on rear spring. 3. Co-worker: This poor soul sound's like he has been through the MK-ULTRA program.

bleed the wheel farest from master cylinder first. on the shackles, I jack the car up a little way and stick a jack handle into the shackle. Force it over and hold it there as I lower the jack

how much of the brake system is new ???? did you bleed the master???? how many new lines did you put in ??? with that if you bleed the master before you installed it and have installed some new lines start with the farthest bleeder (right rear) loosen the bleeder hold your finger over it and have some one pump the pedal till you get a decent amount of fluid then do it the normal way of tightening the bleeder . or if the master is high enough fill it full open the bleeder walk away go read some post here letting gravity do some of the work for you.

Master cyclinder is rebuilt and topped off with fluid. I'll try bleeding the right rear tonight and see if that'll work. As far as the shackle, yeah I've tried jacking it up, etc and the ****er doesn't even budge!
