I know this is a very basic question, but how the hell to i remove it?

Ive pulled all the screws from the inside, and my trim piece is still on the outside. Ive had it soaking, but it still doesnt want to come out.

I dont want to F' up my trim ring, but am i missing something? i was ***uming the trim ring would come out, than i would pull the rubber and gl*** together. Am i wrong?

Take a utility knife, slice under the rubber all the way around the inside of the gl***. have a helper on the outside waiting. Once the rubber get sliced part way, the gl*** may try suicide.

    Ya, What Stovebolt said.
When fresh, the rubber was pliant enough to move around the gl***. Now it is probably hard as nails. I've removed 3-4 from '36's. Lost the gl*** on 1 being impatient. Just be firm and use a sharp blade.
