Planted some flowers for the wife on Mothers Day. Picked up a digital piano for the kids.

    Whisky and steak on Saturday.
    Beef and steak on Sunday.

No car stuff, but a really nice weekend.

Worked on my oldest daughter's Nash all weekend. She and I had fun together - welding, grinding underhood. Firewall and front suspension bracing. Almost ready to paint underhood, then drop her new engine in.

  4. Almost finished painting the new shop. Went and looked at a couple of air compressors that were either junk, or 3 phase. Doh.

And brought a pile of parts to my engine builder so he can actually get started on my motor. Hopefully will have it by the end of the month. I am aiming to get the car to billetproof detroit, but will settle for the cinematic.

I picked up some 1965 Mustang front seats and started to mock them into place. Not much but something...

Cleaned up the garage so I could work on my Merc, wire wheeled and painted suspension parts, ran errands, visited my mom for Mother's Day, and put my living room back together (after three years of waiting.):)

I went back to Buffalo to visit my brother and we brought his coupe home. He has a lot to do on it but it's pretty ****ing good start. I am really happy I could be a part of that. I also hung out with some Lost Kustom guys that have more talent in their finger tip then in my body. Attended a ****ty swap meet where I picked up a 1939 World's fair license plate for New york and that's pretty much it.

    lets see...

got my intake manifold in, will bolt up to my new carb. dropped it off at the machine shop this morning to get the oil fill drilled and tapped. also oredered my new ignition.

Bert took my old intake off, as well as my valve covers, and they are at the shop now awaiting a blasting/cleaning and painting.

now i am running into the same issue Megan had with her 54. that ****ing orange paint on the block. contemplating whether or not to do something about that. the old paint is flaking off, and the Valve Covers are about to be gloss black. i dont think i can let sleeping dogs lie. :(

  14. What happened to "tried to remove an engine from a Corvair and called FL to ask someone dumber than the both of you how to do it?"

Oh and I made a 'gl*** T bucket, the front half to what will be a T tub... crucify me.

Finished up the rear suspension replacement on my '59 and installed the spin-on oil filter adapter. Now that the sealant has had time to cure I'll finish the oil change tonight and see if she leaks at all.

And my wife had our second child on Thursday so I got a 4 day weekend. :D

Her name is Kaiah Sue-LuAnn. She is literally minutes old in this picture.

Cleaned up and rebuilt my 1bbl Rochester, did a bit o'McGyver on a fuel line so I can keep it running until I switching in an Offy and Edel 400 cfm marriage. Found a fuel leak and a vacuum hose disconnected. Now need to final tune the carb to be driven.

Started looking for Offy and Edel as well as a HEI setup to switch in.

I had stripped the starter off of the parts car and installed it on Wed. My birthday was Sat so I went out for drinks friday night, pulled out the dead radio and troubleshot it on Sat (lightning in the tubes = send it back to the guy I bought it from), and had a date that night. Sunday I drove the plymouth down for a mother's day thing, looked at a 51 Pontiac with my mother (she wants to replace the car she sold me with something else) and went home to play GT5 and vegetate.
