EPA legislation is backed as much (or more) by existing oil interests as it is by enviromental organizations. Oil companies don't want compe***ion, and right now the EPA is the biggest hurdle to anyone who thinks they can do it better. Easy way to keep compe***ors out - Help the EPA over-regulate the construction of new wells or refineries. Don't blame the treehuggers more than they deserve.
maybe you should work a different shift.... what ever happened to motion detected alarm systems ....a loud noise nusiance is way better than being with out go juice.. add the coiled spring thingie its the best ... thievin is a quick crime haulin 15 gallons of gas takes effort and a team... ******* steal batteries here and then come get your new one in a couple of days they watch to see the car moving again and bam new battery gone too
Uh, the guy at the station puts it in? We don't pump our own gas, in the entire state! One more reason to love Oregon.
Anti-freeze could cause you to go to jail. That's a reasonable situation where where you would know or expect deadly harm to occur. And you would be guilty. Syrup of ipecac. Will induce vomiting. Or use any other non-lethal puke causing liquid.
One of my favorite cars was my 1956 chev. The dudes at the gas station couldn't find the tank and it was funny as hell. They just don't make cool **** anymore>>>>.
It wouldn't be hard to get in to a locking gas cap!! If a guy can pick a lock just enough to get that cap off you're screwed anyway. And if he can't pick a lock he's just gonna punch a whole in the tank and drain it out that way. Really, yes some precaution might help, but in all sense.... it's not gonna do any good. Just my oppinion.
I didn't expect anyone to try to siphon my gas, I just needed a tank to put it in until I could get it somewhere to recycle it?
thats why you cant even run full tanks on your cars any more. ****ing loser thieves. if you're worried about someone punching a hole in the gas tank. bag the car and lay frame =)
That ****s!!! You are forced to let some yahoo pump your gas? Just exactly what is the reason for this genius bit of legislation?
had the same problem with having my gas cans stolen, put an old one out side with old gas, bleach and little motor oil mixed in. of course it was stolen bwhahahahahahahah.
Something to do with health concerns over the fumes, or somesuch, the person that dispenses the gasoline has to be a "professional" of some sort. At least that's my vague recollection of why New Jersey does it. I'm sure Oregon's reasons are more of the same nanny-state ********. My first question was to wonder about the guy who stands there 8 hours a day pumping gas... if the fumes are hazardous, isn't he going to get sick a hell of a lot faster than everyday joe pumping his gas once or twice a week... or even once a day for 5 minutes? The last time I was in Jersey and got gas, the dude who pumped it sure wasn't wearing any filter or mask or anything.
I was having the gas stolen out of my old John Deere Model "B", which is parked in a tin shed about 1/4 mile from our house, earlier this spring. It's real easy to drain the tank on it since there is a drain **** on the bottom of the carb, and also under the sediment bowl, so after the *******s took my gas a couple of times, I figured I'd nail 'em. Since I only use the tractor occasionally, I poured about five gallons of water into the tank, then floated a gallon of dinosaur blood on top so it would still smell like gas. A scant two days later, there was a middle-aged hick sitting in his Ford pickup down the road about a mile, seems that new-fangled fuel injection system couldn't convert water to fuel. Don't know how much it cost him to get that all straightened out, but I'm sure it was more than what a few gallons of gas are worth.
anyone can bust a lock, if theres a lock or no what to get a hose down the neck they are gonna put a whole in your tank..so then your out 60 bucks of gas and however much for a new tank...maybe inside the gas door put a sticker that reads....if you can read this you are in range....saw it somewhere might be kinda funny? idk. Im thinkin about puttin one at the end of my drive. Noone has got gas out of my car, which sits in the drive all the time....although a hugeee dent is in the tank now and i have no idea how it got there cause i dont drive the car......
That's funny, although I doubt these gas thievin' *******s are doing much web surfing! ...especially here!
There's the answer! Kill people until the world is better!! or not! Geez. Get a grip. We can be certain that liljgoneman has never sold anything for a profit.
People that steal aren't smart by no means. We were doing a rebuild on this cats chevy truck. He brings me the radiator to get cleaned. So it's ozzing anti-freeze and soforth so we leave it out on the loading dock. The next morning it's gone. 2 days later this stupid ******* brings it in here trying to sell it back to me. Needless to say it wasnt a pretty scene>>>>.
Guess I'm lucky where I live, we haven't had any bad experiences with gas thieves yet. The thieves have been too busy cutting off cat converters off of cars and trucks to worry about a little gas. And the area kids are to busy ice picking tires and tossing acid on body parts to take to stealing gas. Maybe I need to move to where gas stealing is a problem, might be cheaper for me.
How about getting one of those noisy *** alarms that you can put on your window in your house so when its opened it goes off and is extreamly loud. You could easily rig one of them up on your gas door. Usually if a theif hears the loud noise they run. Or they take a hammer to the side of your car to shut it up but either way its worth a try -Jon
