Old brass radiator

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tiny, May 13, 2008.

  1. Hello all
I have an old brass radiator of honey comb design from a Whippet. Can it be used in the modern world with a modern later motor? Will it hold the pressure? Be efficient enough? It sure is heavy and scrap brass sure is worth a lot of dough. Just wondering if it could be usable for more than a piece of wall art
    thanx

The honeycomb radiators didn't work out well. If they plug, there is no way to rod them out.

And they were never designed for pressure. A GOOD one might cool a stock 283. Orignal engine was only around 200 CID.
