What can I say? Both my brothers are also gear heads. My youngest brother [VW habit is his HAMB name] obviously owns the chopped 57 VW....The middle one owns the Morris with the 406 chevy in it....runs 10.30s, or at least it did before he got kicked off the strip for not having enough wheelbase.... They were having their own pre-cruise show in anticipatoin for the infamous Medford [oregon] Cruise nite.
Somebody here wanted to see a photo of the VW's engine. Krikey! that thing's bright! He's named the car "The Rubber Chicken".
Not only do they looked to be talented but they also seem to have a sense of humor. The VW motor gives me flashbacks........ and I've never even DONE drugs!!
Man that Morris is wick-ed! Stab-n-steer! Evil bug. True pycho-dementia expressionism. Keep working, and pic's when you can.
Like the flames on the roof and the chop looks real nice.As for the Morris....I bet it's a fun ride, like my Jeep when you get on it it goes where it wants and you just hold on and smile.....Donald
Holy ****! is all I can say about the VW motor. Looks like Peter Max threw up on it....but in a sick way I am strangely intrigued by it. So whatever happened to that bad-*** shoebox coupe with the mail jeep rear in it that I saw pics of a while back? Was that one of your brothers that was building that?
How do you FIX a motor like that? I wouldn't even be able to find the part that needs to be taken off.
Dig both those rides. Especially groovin on the VEEDUB motor, 18 of my favorite colors all in one place. Only thing is, I believe viewing it may have sparked off another acid flashback. If you hear screaming coming from Oklahoma way, it's just me. RASHY
Hey Rocky, Was there a picture of the Morris in Hot Rod or Street Rod mag like ten years ago? I had a picture of a car exactly the same as that on my bedroom wall for years -I'm betting its the same one... Adam F AKA PaintNoPrep
Man I dig the v-dub! I did a black & white check on my driveshaft and about went nuts, couldn't imagine doing that motor. Both look like real Hotrodders!
At first I could not even tell what it was with all those colors. My eye went blur and then when it started to focus I could tell it was more then just a painters pallet. If the Morris has been around for more then 10 ysr I know I have seen it before in person from when I lived in the NW.
Adam F...we built the Morris here in the Midwest and it was taken to Oregon in about '96... Boones, there's your answer too.. Scottys Morris has been outlawed on NHRA tracks because of the short wheelbase [86 inches] so Scotty is whippin together this anglia to go 9's....
.....and B***...the shubox is my son's car. I'd post an updated pitcher but my hard drive crashed a few months back and I lost the image....hafta re-scan and put into my hard drive again...
K&R...this is what it looked like when he found it...a field car. "Lockjaw" [another HAMBer] is responsible for some of the work done on both the Morris and the Anglia.
Rocky, if your brother is not using it, I would like to buy the pedal ***embly ( cast Aluminum piece with the Clutch and Brake pedal ) out of the Anglia. P/M me if he wants to sell it...
That Anglia just made me say Holy ****! again. That thing is wicked... I'd love to see updated pics of your son's shoebox when you get a chance.
The bug motor is WILD! I saw Scotty's Morris at the first Americruze there in Lincoln... it's still bad***. You boys each have stlye, that's for sure! What are you bringing to the drags? Bil
Poncho Bil.....We're trying to find a way to get Scotty's Morris out here from Oregon but he's currently unemployed and it costs mucho dinero to get out here with a trailered car.. I won't have my coupe ready that soon so I may be forced to atttend in a civilian car...maybe the Rocky Goodtime Van [tm] or even my daily---the black Lunina coupe. And T-man? We resemble that remark.
