I have heard it called a "puss", and I have heard it called a "box" Not sure what a "puss box" is though.

Even if you used your welder to charge the part while you powdered it, the problem then is finding an oven big enough to bake the frame. Most powders have to hit 400 Fahrenheit for at least 12-15 min.

I used 17 boxes of AAA batteries to do my power coating. I exchanged my puss box for a **** box though.

I would'nt want to touch it while it was covered with power though. Depending on amperage and voltage, could be a shocking expireance!

At the risk of trying to make sense of the question, I wonder if he meant hooking the positive and negative leads of the welder to the freshly powder coated frame, thereby possibly heating the frame enough to cure the powder coat. That was how we used to get our pipes thawed in Alaska when they would freeze. Except the guy used a real welder mounted on his truck. BTW, I think the idea of hooking up a welder to do this is a sure-fire way to screw several things up well past the point of no return. I'm good at that sort of thing.

If you are asking about doing it the way belair describes, I think its a horrible idea. The most common types of powders on the market are very picky about temp and dwell time. I think that you would have to hard of a time heating the whole ch***is with a welder with any kind of controllable result. Let alone maintaining a temp for 15 plus minutes. Not to mention how bad it would be for your welder, and the issues it would cause for your ch***is. I'm not sure, but I doubt that making your chasis an electrode with such high resistance for that long of a time period can be good for it.

  16. I power coat puss boxes all the time its easy!

  17. Power coating is very versatile. Not only can you coat a puss box but with the right settings, **** welding is possible.

Ship me your frame. I'll powder coat and ship it back to you.
We have an oven large enough and do this every day.

Be sure to clean your frame good with a powder washer before power coating it. I`m not even going to comment on the puss box . . .
