911 Help AGAIN!!! Need a Armeture For a Cad Stater

    So we got the motor all back together and went to start it an the starter is not engauging
    so we sent the starter to the starter shop to rebuild and they can't find an armature for it
    and they will have to rewind it by hand... the bummer is it won't be ready till next week..

    Any one on here know where I can get one REALLY QUICK????

    i'm trying to get one so I can get the car running for our car show on Sunday...

    Good lord man....
    I have a few complete starters up stairs. dont know if theyre any good. I could check with my rebuilder too. Got one in El Monte and one in Irwindale.

    Ya thanks scott.. that would rule...

    I talked to Skratch earlier and he has an Olds one that I might pic up tomorrow and see if
    it will work..

    Wouldn't the armature be the same on any GM of the era? Like an early nailhead, or an early olds?

    I guess not..it seem that caddy is caddy...

    It looks like Sloppyseconds is going to lend me 3 to try and Skratch has a Olds one..
    So I hope that we can make it work some how while mine gets rebuilt next week...

    I'm starting to hate caddys.

    I think my old Hollanders shows what armatures interchange.
    I"m at work and won't be home until nine to check though.

  13. There is a guy in Burbank, I think it's Coopers vintage Cadillac or something like that, has lots of early Cad stuff.....

    My Hollanders only goes back to 55 on Cads.
