Went with a buddy to check out some tin after work this morning (I work nights) and found a super clean original '63 Riviera at his father in law's place. Seems it belongs to some lawyer guy who hasn't driven it in 12 years or so. This car is killer! All original, down to the interior and wheel covers. It has 39,000 original and would only need the lacquer paint s****ed off and repainted, wipe down the interior, lowered and wheels to make a super nice custom! I'm going back with my digi camera and will post some pics in the next day or two. Please post some pics of some finished Rivieras. I wanna show the wife how good they look finished. She likes rides from the 30's and 40's, but she'll come around....
I have a cubic ***load of 63-65 Riv pics. Email me and I'll send them to you. Rather than hog Ryan's bandwidth. Oh yeah. You are aware that the 63's had dynaflow transmissions right? 64-up had ST400's.
here is one that i took a pic of http://www.bigknock.com/php/gallery/shows/texasheat03/mini_PA000012155113
Not quite as cool as Snacky's Riv, but it gets the job done. This one will either be sold soon or going under for a complete transformation.
Thanks Daign...!! you beat me to posting my pics... I'm just catching up on here after a LONG weekend of driving all over California.... Later, Snacks....
There is one for sale by my house! A 63 I believe, Its a runner but I have not ever stopped to check it out.
Thanks for all the pics guys! [ QUOTE ] Oh yeah. You are aware that the 63's had dynaflow transmissions right? 64-up had ST400's. [/ QUOTE ] Fraz, could you 'splain the probs with the dynaflows? This is a low mileage car, and the ****** shouldn't be a problem. It's been sittin for 10, maybe 12 years, so maybe this could have some ill effects on the ******? Obviously the motor and ****** would have to be freshened up a bit.
Hi Joe Moto. See you in a month brother mine. Mike O'Brien's (road apple's first pic) Snacky Jack's pile.
