Been quite some time since I've posted...but always find my way to this site...pretty much daily. This has got to be the greatest place for info and inspiration. Anyhow, just purchased a 1962 Galaxie 500 with a 352 and 3 on the tree with overdrive. Been sittin behind this old hot rodders house for about 20 years. We drug it out and started checkin it out. While I'm diggin through the interior he is busy tryin to get a flatty done for his neighbor. He's 72 and still buildin 50's style hot rods. Cool as hell kinda guy. I'll post pics as soon as I can locate the camera. In the meantime I was wonderin how many of you have a 62 and if you would be willin to put up some pics...prefferably done in a 60's style custom. Thanx for checkin out the post!

i had one...think it was a 62, might have been a 63....gave $60 for it with the intention of making a 60's custom, but it ended up not being worth messing with and i scrapped it......made about $300 on it though....

    it was a 4 door with the 352 and a cruis-o-matic

I've got a bone stock 62 XL vert that i just bought. Its super clean so i dont want to do anything too drastic...bags, wheels, exhaust etc. mines a 352. I've been stalking some people on this great site to figure out whether im going to run 14's or 15's, astros or chrome reverse. Everyone i've bugged has been really cool and answered my questions, given good advice. keep us 62 owners up to date with your mods.
    cheers~Nailz

  12. My dad bought one of the show room floor in 62,,,,black 2 door

I got my drivers permit and license in that car in 63,,along with my first speeding ticket,,,

I did my very first big burnout in that car,,,too young to realize all the caked up rubber around the rear fenderwell told on me,,,,

I experienced my first drive-in movie kiss and face slap in that car also,,,

The car was totaled by my mom before I was able to see paridse by the dashboard lights,,,but hey,,,that's another story!:D HRP

'62, Always a favorite. There is a ;62 wagon here in town (Sonoma) that is lowered with flames. Great looking ride.

I know where theres one here in Jacksonville, Florida. Its a mile maker six with a 3 speed on tree. Its baby blue. Its straight, with some rust issues, nothing major. Bumpers are screwed. It was running recently. the dude wants $1500 for it. I almost bought it for a parts car.
