Old yards near DC

    Any word on good ones??? I cant find a hood for my 53 to save my life. PMed a couple guys with ones for sale here with no luck.
    Gotta be one laying around here somwhere.
    not sure if its illegal around here not to have one but my main concern is this rain weve been getting recently.

    Leon's in Culpepper, right on 29, is absolutely gigantic, like over 10,000 cars , most of them 50's and 60's.

    None near DC- Real estate costs are too high.

    However, I've seen several along Route #29 between Gainsville and Culpepper and a few in southern MD, along #5 and #301, near Waldorf. Brandywine is by far, the biggest.

    To find parts for a 50-year-old car, I suspect you should focus your search in the more rural areas. Most of the "auto recyclers" in urban areas reflect what's on the adjacent highways- They're filled with late model Volvos and Hondas.:rolleyes:
