I'll be hustling out the '40 Ford pickup for Santa Maria in a couple weeks and i dont have the time nor the love for wood working to finish my bed from scratch. Can anybody recommend a place that i can get an original type bed kit thats got all the wood slats w/ strips, etc.? -scott noteboom

I'll second the recommendation fo Northern Cl***ic Trucks. I bought two beds from them and their products are top quality. Todd is a great person to deal with. I'm sure you can get what you need. If you are using your original bed, be sure to tell them. I think you have to modify the bed to use just wood in the floor. They will advise you on what has to be changed. I would recommend the stainless bolt kit even if you use standard steel bed strips. I hope to have my '41 pickup on the road by mid summer. It is almost the same color as your truck!
