For the past five years my hometown has been having a cruise night the third thursday in july. We have advertised it as no judging, no trophys, no prizes, just car people, but this year I'd like to add some tongue-in-cheek prizes like I've read about on here. ( the car I'd most like to ticket by the local cops, etc.} Can anyone help me out with some ideas? Thanhks in advance, Mike.
recruit all the clubs to come up with a trophy (home/garage made) and have them give them out.......that can be funny as hell if the clubs know your not lookin for BEST this or that kinda crap
I'm not much interested in trophys but I did hang a plaque on the wall that I got for having the biggest crack in my windshield. It cost me several hundred dollars to get out of that class! I've seen them given for the most bugs in the radiator. Hope that helps.
You can have a toy drive for your local children home. Just have an entrance fee of 2 unwrapped toys and if you advertise and are a good saleman you can probably get the local businesses to donate money for trophys. We have a local promoter that does this at the local hooters for the christmas toy drive. They donate the toys to local children homes or to the fire dept and they distribute them out to the needy children. The key will be getting the community behind you if you want to succeed.
