50Merc OD3Speed tranny switches???

So I just bought this thing and BAM I knew it was too good to be true, Bastard old timer shafted me. What is this switch thats in pieces and where can I get another?

The broken one connects to the square one pictured below.

 

anyone know what switch this is? it seems like it works off a magnet or a gyro effect...

 

They call it a govener,it keeps voltage from getting to the o/d solinoid untill about 35 mph to keep the o/d from staying on and or coming on too soon.I think they still sell the bakerlite cap,Job lot in Queens ny used to carry them.You can run with out it it has been discused on how to set it up before.

 

The small one is the reverse lockout switch. You don't need it. The governors are fairly easy to find. They usually don't go bad.

What do you mean"Bastard old timer shafted you"? Was he holdong a gun on you?Are you Blind??you couldn't see those switches before buying??Dont blame someone else for not noticing or asking about,before buying!!!!!!
