hey guys. I know we've had a similar thread before but that one was just looking for single four options. what intakes were made for the sbc pre-65. I know we have sharp and man-a-fre. when did the C(3-4)b come out?? I'm guessing that the offy and edelbrock 4+ 97 intakes fit into this category but that is way too much carb and too many dollars in carbs to justify. when did OEM copy dual four intakes come out?? oddball brands?? oddball carb types??

I've currently got a 283 in my rod that I have a 3x2 97's setup for but it seems that it's a pretty common setup ATM. almost makes me want to say forget the trouble of the 97's and go with something else. As common as these intakes are becoming I could just run a four barrel hidden under an air cleaner......

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Edelbrock has an single 4 bbl intake with the oil fill tube, I think it is P/N 2703.

I'm trying to find what actual intakes were manufactured before 1965. unless an intake is still in production for 40+ years (like the offy 4x2 and 6x2) I'm not really interested in a new piece.
