So I have this 3W I've been hammering on for a while. It's getting close, but I've got an issue. i've never been a big fan of the factory hood hold downs, and I'm aiming for a kind of early street racer feel (Ignore the wheels) I'm looking for an early mechanical device or alternate latch. like a camlock or 34 Ford ?? I don't want the smoothy look! Any suggestions??
Try a Farm Implement store or maybe an aircraft surplus supply place. There is also a latch bracket on an MSA Firefighters SCBA that would probable work.(try the MSA website, it's the latch that holds the air bottle in place) Anyway nice ride.
Nothing to add, but slick car, I like how you contoured the louver to the blister. How'd you do that Pull-max?
Right you are! genius buddy, actually built an adjustable louver device, onto the pullmax and away we go!
Check out Limey Steve (Limeworks) He has some *****in' looking leather straps with spring buckles. Hard to describe but if you go to his site you'll see what I mean. You would however have to lose the hood sides.
