i've had cherry bombs and thrush glasspaks on cars and i've liked 'em just fine, but my favorite was the WALKER glasspacks i has on my '62 caddy. that was years ago, and i'm not sure if they make 'em any more.
if they still exist they are the shit.

  4. I often wonder why anyone wastes their $$ on cherry bombs. They don't do anything. Might as well just do straight pipe. I refuse to install them for customers, they always hate how loud they are and I just end up taking them off down the road.

I sell what we call Silver Bullets in my shop. I install a ton of them. They are nice solid, long lasting glasspacks. Good thick steel, larger spiral baffles that make a great sound. Good quality welded units, last a hell of a lot longer than cheap junk cherry bombs. I use 30" long ones on 50's cars, they sound excellent. Anyone needs any, I have a UPS daily account, ship stuff out every day. (920)235-1020. I can get any size, usually can ship same day or next and take CC over the phone.

Flowmasters suck as well. Thrush, Goerlich and a few others make the same mufflers since flowmaster lost their rights to the design. Much better units, about half the price.
I like inexpensive plane jane turbo mufflers the best. Dynomax super turbos are nice as well.

Higher end, Magnaflow makes some extremely nice stuff. I use a lot of their products.

    just my two cents.

I run Flowmaster Hushpower II on my truck and they are the best sounding things I have ever heard.

  6. SMITHY'S The Original hot Rod muffler, since 1920's
Still sound great even through a few different company owners and some internal changes

You mean they actually sell things to make the sound of your engine not so loud? Never heard of it.
