2008 MONROE SPRING SWAPMEET Saturday May 17th 8 - 5 Sunday May 18th 9 - 3 Evergreen County Fairgrounds Monroe, WA Intersection of WA Hwy 2 and WA Hwy 522...can't miss it.
been canceled. sorry boys, it's supposed to be over eighty degrees tomorrow and through Saturday and we all know you can't have any swap meets around these parts unless it's raining and damn cold. Sorry again, the management
I went and as you know Clearview was the talk of the town, 10" of snow. No other place compared. We decided to go to Mt Vernon and they had no snow, just alot of mud!!!!
wow! lots of stuff and people at the meet today. met moses and k-member at their booth. hot as hell and thanks for the water! always cool to meet a few hambers.
Well, what did everyone get? I didn't pick up anyting for any of my projects, but got some Arlington drap strip posters and a tiki.
A hundred miles each way for a bag of rags. Man it was hot! Some guys made more in water sales than in parts. Fewer vendors than usual inside but the car corral was packed today. I know it's not very HAMB-ish, but that white 74 Matador Station Wagon almost had a new home.
Hot was right I got a nice stud gun to pull dents for 125.00 a set of lakes headers for my 34 chevy for 120.00 a set of 60s tear drop knobs still in orig**** packages all 5 for 20.00 a gl*** 32 grill shell for 75.00 for my 26 rpu im building to sell and a rebuilt holly 650 double pumper for my daughters 70 short bed ford for 125.00 so I made out ok
Thats funny, I bought 6 Arlington dragstrip posters at the Mt Vernon Swap meet a few months back. The posters have probably made more than the strip!!! LOL!
I bought 4 more neon signs for a killer deal, a Pontiac one, a Sinclair Dino gas and one Genuine Ford and one Genuine Chevrolet sign. I also picked up an old sign that read "End mile test". I also got the Transmission for my 1952 Desoto Hemi engine. I had the bellhousing/clutch/torque converter but didnt have the transmission to attach to it. Got it for $20!!! One step closer to the Whippet on the road, he also said he had a drive shaft for it for $10. Oh and I bought Moses's Model A grill . He gave my brother and I Ice cold water which made me want to spend money!! Thanks for the grill and water!!!! I also sold $220 worth of Firebird parts. So I ended up spending $335 more than I sold but now my barn looks killer with all the neon lights. Now I have to Ebay stuff to make up for the car fund or if any of you would buy the rest of my parts I will have tomorrow so I can buy more stuff for my Whippet!!! Thanks!!! Oh and it was 96 degs in the shade at our booth this afternoon.
