My 31 Ford was vandalized at a car show today!!!

My wife ane I will for now and forever call the trophy "The spite trophy"

 

That sucks, I love that car too. You beat me out on buying it. Ive been waiting for it to surface on here but not this way

 

3 yrs ago a couple kids shot paint ball guns at cars arriving at a show. Same show, some stupid bitch who chose to bring her dog to a car show let the thing jump on the side of a candy blue '58 Imp.
It's killed the car show, because half of the people that were there that day will never attend again.
The REAL bitch about the whole thing is the rumor. The rumor is the kids were caught and let go. Seems it was kept quiet because the dad of one of the kids has big, big dollars and alot of power/influence in town. If thats true, that REALLY taught ol' JR a lesson!

 

I'll bet it was some punk bitch ass who got beat by your rod so the whiny little bitch that he really is got mad and tore up your shit in revenge 'cause his ass can't build a cool ride like yours.
His daily is probably a Honda with all of the Bling Bling goin' on.

unbelievable someone could do that and not be seen,,,
if someone had seen him, what the hell could he have said??..probably more than one guy,,one guy watching to make sure nobody caught them, and another to do it,,,

I hate to here about this kinda shit. ENVIOUS HATEFUL PEOPLE SUCK ASS.
I had a long look at that coupe and was impressed.
You can take comfort in knowing this, you own one of the best model A coupes on the planet and as long as you do that mother F ing coward wont.

 

Man, I hate to hear things like this. Even if it did just pop loose from vibration, it still sucks. But I guess that makes it easier to deal with - the thought of people messing with my car makes me want to introduce them to a bat.

 

cool ride congrats ,no offence but this would sting even more if it was a losse part and later the other side came loose later and scratched it that would sting worse ,i hope it was an accident

 

to be honest it doesnt sound like someone did that! it sounds like it was loose and you drove it and thats what happend when it came undone. if you think about it if someone wants to trash your ride thier not going to "unhook your support rod and jam it down your firewall" and plus at a show I think someone would say WTF are you doing!!

I sincerely doubt it was intentional.

What would happen if somebody leaned over your engine to look, possibly someone old or fat or full of PBR. Would they possibly try to hold themselves up or steady themselves on your support rods, thus leading to catastrophe????

Still totally criminally uncool on their part to bail. But I still have a shred of hope for humanity, and that's how I'd see this happening.

Doesn't help your car any, but consider the possibility it wasn't a mean spirited act.

As usual Shifty posted when I was writing and I rather have to agree with him. I have had older people put their weight on the car where it wasn't a good idea to put it. My dad was the worlds worse about putting his cowboy boots up on the shiny painted running board of my truck just after I painted it and hadn't even thought about what he was doing before I said something.

Never personally had trouble inside of a show except once at Arlington stadium when we had to call the cops to get some lard assed woman off one of the guys cars fenders. Said she had paid her 5 bucks to get in and she could sit any where she damned well pleased. The cop escorted her and her wimpy old man to the gate.
I have seen kids using model A and the like fenders as slides while mommy and daddy stood and grinned though but that usually didn't last long when one of us told them to get the brats off there.
Normally the low lifes key your car as they don't usually pack tools along to take things loose.
Outside of the usual door dings from people who park too close the only deliberate damage to my 48 was a broken drivers side mirror in the parking lot at a rodeo when someone thought they needed the mirror more than I did. Got rid of those mouse ear mirrors though.

 

Really like the car and also the color. Sorry some ass hole could not keep their hands off something that did not belong to them. Seems like there is always a shit head like that in every crowd. Just doesn't make sense. Better luck in the future.

Seems like a lot of people here dont give a rats ass for your stuff. 2 years ago I was at a huge indoor car show in NYC. A friend had just finished a 57 Chevy convertible rod. It was a 3 year build and he did everything down to the paint,the car was absolutely perfect. We went to see some of the other cars and when we returned there were 3 girls sitting on the back of the convertible top like beauty queens in a parade and there 2 scumbag boyfriends were sitting in the front seats posing for pictures. when we started yelling for them to get the fuck out of the car one of the girls said as she was climbing out from the back seat "if yall didnt want no one sitting in your car you shoulda hung a sign".
to this day thats the line we say when someone does something unbelievably stupid

 

Granted, my car isn't pretty but I like it. I was at the Street Rod Nationals in Bakersfield, getting ready to go back to my room. Some guy walks up and wants to talk about the coupe. As he's rubbing the roof of my coupe, he saids. "I sure like your patina". I said, "Thanks. Where's your car?". He points and I say, "Lets go over so I can rub the paint on your car!". He looks sheepish and saids, "Sorry".

I tell him no problem. Anyone can touch my car, as long as they let anyone touch theirs. After that, he walks away.

Now heres a guy that has an expensive rod and he thinks because my rod has patina, it's touchable. Sheesh!

 

Sorry to hear this.
I don't like to go to shows that you pay to enter and the spectators get in free.
I also hate to see dogs, bicycles a skateboards at shows

 

Sorry about that man. I hope ya figure out the lowlife that did that. Heckuva nice lookin' ride. Fix the damage and move on... there will always be folks like that around unfortunately.
