The most ridiculous sign I have seen is at the drags.
( No Smoking In The Stands )

You sit in the stands with a cloud of smoke coming from the burn outs that is so thick you can chew rubber but you can not smoke. WTF

I believe in letting people do whatever the **** they want with their private property. I think most people here do, too.

If some business wants to erect that sign in their parking lot, that's their choice. It is your choice whether or not you shop there.

Whining about it on the internet is the best way to get nothing accomplished.

I don't get this - it's private property. It isn't your RIGHT to park there.

I'm sure you would super stoked if some ****head parked in your driveway and didn't obey your rules.

"new moms", "senior citzens", "with small children", etc-they do NOT have a disablity. These "special" parking spots degrade the status of the real handicapped parking spots, and the people that need them!

um, yaknow... i dont think anything "degrades" the cripple spots at the mall... besides themselves.

each row now has at least a dozen blue wheelchair spots at the front of them now... 6 rows wide at each door...only to see the ****ers gettin out of the cars parked there look like they are ready to run the boston marathon...

only thing degrading is how easy it is to talk a doctor into issuing you a handicapped tag for your window these days. i know for a fact, cause i was OFFERED one after i had my spinal operation as few years ago

I agree somewhat...It is too easy for some to get the handicapped sticker/tag for their car, however I work with the disabled, and most need those spots for the lifts etc on their vans and cars. Here in BC, Canada there is generally just 1 or 2 W/C parking spots by the mall doors. It does piss me off when you see a young guy park there with (and more irritating without) a W/C tag and walk easily into the store...

Funny, because we are the true environmentalist. We take old cars and restore/update them, keep them on the road. Lots of us are using the original 6, small V8 engines with updates on them. What is the cost to the enviroment in the manufacture and shipping of brand new cars?

Funny you should ask that. I read recently,in a well respected magazine, that more polution is produced manufacturing a new car, than that same car will produce in it's whole life time.

All the people getting bent out of shape over this sign is actually making me laugh my *** off. Get the **** over it, every one of you guys, as well as myself, can walk the extra couple feet. Hell I'm glad there are people out there caring about the environment and driving their little hybrids. Saves more gas for me...

My '31 chopped a hot rod rests quietly in the auto shed while I drive my Prius to get parts for it. If you don't care about anyone but yourself, and don't give a damn about whatever world you're leaving for your and my kids-I've got no time for you.

Oh, and I live in Amish country. Given the size of their families, the fact that they don't use birth control and the patriarchal basis of their families, *********** might be on their minds, but Blue Ball certainly would not be a problem.:)

OT question? While we are saving every gallon of gas we can...so we can use it for trips to MOKAN and other cool places. WTF are we saving it for? China ? India? and by the way how much does gas cost in China and India? less than here ? I get f'ing sick of all this BS I hear everyday ...say fuel save the fuel, I say **** em when we run out all of us will run out! Thank you!

sure seems to be plenty of them posting in this thread. what a bunch of ****in whiny babies!

look, if you don't voluntarily reduce fuel consumption in your commuter car, then some encouragement has to be given. personally i'd rather save the gas for my old cars rather than waste it on some souless eyesore of a new truck like all the other ***holes on the road. how many posters on this thread also ***** about high fuel prices?

oh, and where is the outrage over the designated parking spots for semi trucks at rest stops? they got em for RVs too! look at all these special cl***es of vehicles getting special parking privileges! ****ing acres of designated parking and you guys get all pissy about three ****ing compact car sized parking spots.

they should reserve the most distant spaces for the eco cars, since they get such good mileage.

A famous example from Minnesota comes immediately to mind. It was published in a weekly paper in the northwest quadrant of the state, and I can't say what kind of repercussions it may have brought to the author but there must have been some. The town of Fertile, population 853, sits about 19 miles southeast of Crookston on state highway 32; Climax, with 273 listed residents, sits to the west of there on US 75, some thirty miles away. An elderly lady from the former small town expired in the latter, leading to an obituary caption in the paper that read, in bold letters: "Fertile Woman Dies in Climax." Probably the longest-lived journalistic gaffe in the entire state, and one that must have brought at least mortification to its author.
