There was a full story on the history of the Orange Crate in Rodders Journal earlier this year It is still around I tried to find the Issue but not sure where I put But look in Rodders Journal Good luck Ray
The Orange Crate written about in TRJ is a 32 Ford sedan. This tilt bodied, blown Oldsmobile powered car is a northwest car that was built in the early 60s from a car that had already been a hot rod for a very long time by Keith Randol for the owner, auto dealer Bob Tindle of Portland, Or. The article in TRJ thirty eight is a wonderful read that details this car, it's long history, and it's preservation.
the orange crate that im speaking of is a thirty four and was in the midwest area it was named the orange crate because of the city of omaha orange paint that proudly graced its body .the reason it was this color is because the city had a paint shop next door to the club shop and they got a bit tipsy with the city guys one night and decided it might look good.so the story is told.
