So Spike ( hotrodphotos ) was correct. There were probably 5500 cars there and here are pics of the ones that I liked......GOD !!! I hate Camaros !!!!! I would like to thank JR from SO WHAT for identifying this car as a DOUBLE HANDLE PULL START BRIGGS AND STRATON
This 34 Chevy coupe was just a perfect HAMB piece....and the guy had never heard of THE HAMB..... go figure !
Thanks for posting the great pix. Wish I could've been there. First time in 5 years that I couldn't make it down even for just one day.
That first car is my friends car. It started out as a bunch of 27 Dodge panels laying on his garage floor. The motor is a 396 Hemi with a Latham Super Charger. One thing I can say is that car is safe. One of the first times he took that car out he hit a deer with the left front. No damage to the car.
I wanted to get a better look at it but he was in it and gone everytime I found it. It was in my opinion, the best traditional car there. And it was fun to listen to the nova and camaro crowd try to guess what that damn thing on top of the motor was. I heard one guy say he thought it was a disguised NO2 system......I guess he never built an AMT Model T coupe kit....wasted childhood. Please let your friend know how much we enjoyed seeing it
It was really fun talking with you at the show. I have shown the pics of your car to a bunch of people and everyone has the same opinion...just ***s!! You should do an intro, they like to know who is here. All the shots you see are from hi-res digital. Let me know if you want them and I will e-mail them to you...... WELCOME !!
Man that '34 is cool! Glad you found some cars to oggle at OC! Maybe next year you can enjoy the Showdown all day..? Sorry for busting your onions..I swear I was smiling the whole time, but its hard to tell on this thing sometimes. Spike
