I am so frustrated I can not get ahold of a radiator for my 54 customline! I have the original but i guess im cheap cause i dont want to pay 400 dollars to get it recored, since im going to change the block in the winter and the stock radiator wont work. I have the original 239 and i can mod one to work, but what works?

    try early mustang radiator

we use em pretty frequently on the rods we build and im thinking im gonna end up putting one in my Apache simply cause like you, im too cheap to have my origianl recored too

try ebay.......... a guy called the radiator doctor
i have four that ive gotten from him and in my area, as soon as u pay for the radiator, a guy shows up in a lil mazda pickup to deliver the radiator the very next day (cant beat that)

  6. Might also try mid 60's GM full size. Bel aire Impalla Etc..

Intake and return inlets will match up too.

$144.00, free shipping. The radiator is aluminum, but you could always paint it. They list the sizes on the website. If you are leery about a no-name radiator, they also sell Griffin radiators for $169.00, free shipping as well. Hope this helps.

  19. Go for the re-core....fits right, looks right, works right.

Man I was gonna get a pickapart radiator, around $50 total incl core fee on 1/2 price day, but for $160 you get a brand new griffin delivered? that's pretty good sounding to me...I just don't want to fool with changing the water inlet/outlet if I can help it, just takes too much time to find a shop, etc.

Anyway thanks for all the great info you guys! I always figured that a new radiator was way too much $$$ but y'all set me straight!
