We are working hard to open Best Vintage Parts, a vintage car parts co-op in New Bedford, Mass very soon in an old textile mill with one acre of space on the second floor. The plan is to attract amateur vintage/hot rod parts sellers selling stuff like gennie fenders, engine parts and such as well as established suppliers to the hobby such as Coker Tire, Bumper Boyz, SOCal, LeBaron Bonney, etc. (we haven't contacted any of them yet so they are not aware of this announcement and we do not know if they would be interested). We plan to attract those who annually attend Hershey and Carlisle Shows in the east plus countless shows around the USA. Instead of storing your goods until the next show you can be displaying and selling indoors year round. J.J. BestBanc & Co., a company that finances collector cars worldwide will have a booth on the premises.

Our one acre indoor co-op will be open 6 days a week, year round and we will man all booths. You do not have to be present to make sales. The building is totally secure as there is a highly successful antiques cooperative on the first floor. Booths will 10' x 10' for $150 per month or 20' x 10' for $250 per month. There is room for over 200 sellers and suppliers all on one floor! There is a 4,000 lb. freight elevator that can handle any size automobile part and a loading dock.

Best Vintage Parts could become a New England cruise destination for all types of vintage car clubs and hot rod cruises.

Our website www.bestvintageparts.com is new and we are getting phone calls from interested sellers. Don't call Rich on the website as he has bowed out of this venture. If you are an interested seller, call me (Dave) at (508)243-5543.

What a cool idea. Sounds like an antique mall for old car parts. Good luck with it.

Hmmmm...5 minutes down the road from where I work!
Very cool idea for around this area, Dave. Good luck with it.
How soon do you think you'll have the booths set up and the doors open for business?
Is it just the monthly booth rental, or is there a commision involved in the sales?

  8. Sounds like a good idea.I'd think twice about Bumperboyz though!

this sounds like a great idea. i love the idea of using the old mill space, and the idea of centralized vending, and the idea of local inner city business. i will definitely shop here.

    good luck.
