    me too!

I was darn lucky that I mounted one of those fancy "fold away" tongue jacks on the front of the trailer. the stock tongue jack would have certainly bit into the highway and played heck with the situation..

the flange around the trailer coupler was so hot it was smoking when we stopped!

  4. .......ditto.......excellent coverage. Thanks!

Looks like a great find. Philly blows, and it looks like you were in one of the many hoods that crappy city has to offer.

    Denise,
Congrats! I saw the car in some earlier post and thought it was the same one you showed me pics of, but I didn't want to "let the cat out of the bag". Great coverage - A big thanks to you and Meagan.

Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone around Denis and Megan is having the time of thier lives? Gotta be sheer coincidence right?:D
The mud wrastlin was fucking priceless, I'm glad I took a piss break right before that. Looks like you've got some tough decisions ahead of you Denis, lucky girl. A million thanks to Thelma and Louise for another great write-up. I had all the fun with no mess......wait, that is all the fun, damn it, I should have gone:mad:

Thanks for the show coverage, it's the only way I really get to see what happens at my show! :) Jeff, tell Lulabelle about how your safety chains worked for you...PLEASE, and then remind him I talked to him about chains. :) Well, the HAMB coverage overall proves I have the only show in the country that cant get blown out by rain! BTW this was only the second in six years that we had any real rain, We got by fine, I just hope everyone does not remember the place as a big mud hole! Well remember it that way a little! Thanks again for making the long trip and the great photos.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the story. I've got a summer full of adventures like this planned so stay tuned and I do believe Louise will be making most of them.:D

    You get it :D;):D

and next year I want to stop by and see them.

and would you believe this is the edited version? I actually took about twice this many.

Yeah, and do you remember reading the comment from Aaron51Chevy (local pal) who made the comment about "I bet Denise was all over that Olds"? He had no clue, really most of my pals didn't. I was so excited about Rusty Olds I just had to show my TX pals the photos when I was there.

There is always next year but be forewarned, the event is so cool it will be on your "must do" list every year.

Good to finally meet you, Denise!

I've been waiting for your trip and show report ... wow, now that's a report!

Sawzall Jeff and Tokyo -- glad everything worked out OK with your trailer. Holy cow, that could have been a mess.

What a trip!! I just read the whole thing; feels like I just read through 10 years of early rod magazines, watched "Thelma and Louise" and "Spirit of St Louis" simultaneously, and relived half my childhood!
    This isn't a post, it's epic poetry!

I gotta give congrats to both of you Ladies for your threads, excellent reading. You've also got the knack of putting names to faces and cars. Chevsotolac and I spent the most of the day vending and didn't get to roam around till later. So reading all the threads sort of makes up for what we missed. Denise, great find on Rusty Olds, I'm sure everybody will be waiting for updates. My first showdown and I know it won't be my last. But next time I have to make sure not to leave till after the mud wrestling.:D Jeff

Glad things worked out OK for you, too Sawzall!
