Depends on your definition of s**** yard. LKQ (formerly pick-n-pull) is having a half off sale all weekend, going to pick up a steering rack and transmission for a 24hrs of Lemons car (saw those parts last weekend, hope they're still there).

i have found a hard time getting a yard to actually let you walk around and scope things out. they all want a request for a part, then want you to check back if they have it and after they pull it.

cant really window shop like you used to.

  5. S**** metal? There are several, don't know how good. Used auto-part yards? Not many good ones. Even 80s stuff is hard to find.

What ever happened to all the old tin that used to be in the woods near downtown. The guy who ran it used to spray paint "Jimi Hendrix Lives" on all his cars. He had so much stuff stashed everywhere. Did it get s****ped, moved?
I remember he was in some trouble with the police but someone said he was still around with another name?

Daileys[ Columbus}979-732-5413 get directions, alittle hard to find good parts. Johns salvage-Seguin, Tx 830-379-2092. Haven't been to Johns in a while. Head down highway 19 out of Huntsville like you are going to Lovelady. Several yards along the way. I found a yard in the woodlands full of old cars. We were building a pad for concrete slab and it's way back in the woods. I'll know tomorrow whats in it. I did see a couple of 59 caddy's

The Jimi Hendrixs dude was "Frank". Big mistery on him. Feds went in front door ,frank went out back door. hasn't been seen in about12-15 years I believe. He's kind of an urban legend Some say he is in New yourk, some say he dead and with Jimmy. He sold a bogus car to a U.S. Judge and pissed him off. I've really never heard for positive what happened to him. he left all his **** and his crack headed help sold for whatever it would bring. Franks Oldies but Goodies" Hendrix Lives

Hey, I am not disrespecting Frank. Hell I liked him. He just got caught doing something alot of people have done. I was living in Odessa and came to the Houston area to work on a pipeline and heard about the Jimi Hendrix experiance. I walked in the front door and a couple of guys were ****ing what looked like ground up soap stone up their head. I asked where Frank was and they pointed out back. I walked out and Frank had a mohawk and camo on. He looked like Mister T to me. I bought lots from him over the years. In case Frank reads the HAMB. Statutes of limitations is up. Get back to Houston and start another yard.
