I just bought a stock 3.8 out of a buick for a Dune Buggy build can anybody tell me how much horse power it has.
I've got a 1980 that I'm using for my 26 T coupe and it's got 125 HP, also got a newer one with the Turbo and I believe it's got 245 HP.
Thanks Tall Tom Iam not lost the i think i stumped the other replys or they just don't the answer!!!!!!
Or Maybe this isn't a Dune Buggy site, and we don't work on Buick 3.8's and maybe if we did then we can have more people ask us more dumb questions about which fart can would look best on there Honda, and maybe we can have more newbies not do an intro.
Well.... You might have to buy a vowel, but I'm gonna give you a clue for free! The HAMB is dedicated to pre 1964 hot rods, as well as traditinal hot rodding techniques. This is not a site about dune buggies, buick V6's [unless their going in a traditional hot rod], fart pipes, imports, new cars, or japanese sport bikes. I totally and completely "understood" your original question. But even at that, I could not answer it. Is it a series I, II, III, or IV? Is it carbureted or fuel injected? Is it NA or turbocharged? Is it freshly rebuilt or does it have a billion miles on it? Factory HP ratings for the 3.8 ranged from 110 to 276, so your engine is probably somewhere between 7 [yes, seven] and 500 horsepower... I really hope that's helpfull. Since your original post was: #1, NOT relevent to this forum. #2, didn't contain enough info for anyone to actually help anyway. and #3, posted by a new guy who appears to be lost... We chose to make fun of your situation rather than help you.
[ quote=Pir8Darryl;2834704]We chose to make fun of your situation rather than help you.[/quote] LOL!!! That's rich Glad I could help. Copy the "quote" above and paste it into your sig line, then backspace the space out between the [ and the Q. I always gotta wonder if this stuff is for real or if an established member is setting up a bogus account to ask silly ?'s just to sit back and watch the fun.
