a/c unit questions

Does anybody have any input on a A/C unit that would work good in this 1955 buick special I'm trying to finish up. it has the original 322 nail head motor. we put a fatman subframe under it and added power steering. any help would be great.

 

In my '56 Special, I used an underdash unit mounted behind the speaker grille. Worked great. Compressor was a Sanden, I think.

Vintage Air makes a unit for just about anything. Most look near factory (inside the car).

what does a unit like that run?

 

Here is how Buick did it at the factory. 100lb compressor 100lb condenser, big box behind the blower is the evaporator hot gas byp*** between evap and wiper motor.

 

Try cl***ic auto air Super Street rod unit. It will cool the car.
