actually in my haste I did this one to myself

saw a listing for an early Olds blower manifold
    placed my bid,
    won the auction

    then studied the picture

    Doh!

    it just arrived,
    sho nuff

    not Olds at all
it's an NOS early Cadillac manifold
and a good used Olds water cross-over.

great, now I gotta think about building a Cadillac motor

I think you were subliminally looking for an excuse to build a Caddy. That'll be $150 for the psycho****ysis, please!

lemme know if You're looking for an early cad motor, they're growing on trees around here all of the sudden.

(I'm gonna rant for a second here.)

Who the hell died and made Crushproof the home of the Caddy? We have worked on more of these things this year than I have seen in one place for the previous 10 years combined. I currently have 3 early caddies, and as many motors lying around. I'm not *****ing, but seriously...when did these things "wake up" to hot rodding again? I cannot touch an Olds or Pontiac lately, couldn't buy a job on a big block chevrolet, but these oddballs are coming in in droves.
    seriously.
number of Caddy's and motors laying around-6
    small block chevys-4
    small block fords-2
    Pontiac-2
    M.E.L.-1
Olds (well, these don't count because they're mine.) 8?

and there are more caddies on the way.

Somebody need work on...anything else? Low cost...I'm just getting bored with Caddilac lately.

I need 331 hemi and 394 olds done! I guess I'll leave my cad motor here!
And Paul I feel your pain I just bought a wiend blower intake for my 331 didn't need it but it was cheap. Now I guess I'll have to build it and stuff it in my stude.

holding this Cad manifold up to a Stude manifold it looks like I've heard,
the ports line up ok and maybe one of the bolts.

maybe with some adapter plates I could put a blower on my Stude... hmmm

Yes you can, I've got caddy 2x4 intake on my 289 stude. Just have to elongate the center boltholes.

The Stude guys will bad mouth the Caddy conversion all day long because the ports don't line up perfectly. I did a little porting on my 289 and the 3X2 does OK.

Take a look at the bolt holes though, they need to move inboard, when I drilled the Caddy manifold it was fine, the counterbore for the bolt sholder went through 3 runners.

I brazed it up and it runs fine, but beware, it's not as simple as wollowing out a hole.

That manifold is a real POS.... I'll give ya Yugo/Edelbrock 2X4 manifold, 10 Bill Clinton $3 bills and a six pack of Billy beer for it.

That's my offer and I'm stickin' to it!
