Some one awhile back was talking about dragging dougl*** again. Lets set a date for everyone to just show up and cruz on a sat. eve. and then maybe the next month we should all just show up at the starlight for a eve. at the drive in. and if we alternate maybe we won't get shut down. I think word would get out after a few months about what is going on in wichita and maybe we can bring some of these summertime activities back. everyone Needs to remember to be good , no burn outs and drag racing on the streets .'cause it will bring negitive publicity and for sure shut it down. but maybe if we show everyone that it doesn't cause problems then maybe we can get it going again. show some support for our drive in, and petrolium producers and maybe we can have some of our roots back again, in this ever changing world of more rule's thrown upon us every day. and as long as it doesn't get too organized, or turned into a business venture maybe we can all have some fun again. it would be great to see all the old cars dragging again , or filling up the starlight. My son and I went one eve last fall , in the 59 el camino to the starlight. it was a blast people kept walking by commenting on the old car, and how kool,it was to see it at the drive in again. My son loved it also, and It was great to spend some time with the family. what a great bonding experiance! what do all the local guys think ? wanna try it ? Lets pick a date in april and do it !!!
Sounds great, but all of my hot rods are in pieces and I'm working 6 day weeks. With luck some of the other local guys will see your thread and think its a good idea. It would be nice to see all the hot rods doing what they are ment to do, CRUZIN.
I'm up for it. Let's pick a general time when we'll be doing this and get to cruising! The forecast for today calls for a high of 51 and no afternoon showers, close enough for me.
