I just picked her up today. Went almost to Austin to pick her up.

    Here is the story:

We got the car from the daughter of the original owner. He Bought it brand new in 55. He bought in in Waco and took it home to Cameron. He paid for every option available. A/C, and power everything.

He drove the car for 10 year and in the spring of 1965 he pulled it into his barn, locked the doors and walked away. No one has seen or been in the car since.

With the car came the original paperwork, the original bill of sale and ***le. Also all of the inspection and registration receipts.

The car was covered in 2 inches of rat **** and soaked in rat piss but is in fine shape for what it has been through. She was hell getting out but we finally did and we are proud of it.

I see an early sixties custom. Lots of metal flake and a good lowering. Plus that 6- 2 barrel carb Crager intake!

Is it just me or are those cans on the barn floor, which I would believe are beer cans the old pull tab type? And what a great score on the car! Also would like to see more pics.

I love those years of Caddy. Wish i could trade my 1964 Limo for a 50's caddy.

Rat **** eats paint, who knew? I've been using aircraft stripper like a ****er. Time to buy some rats. That is a great story/find.

A buddy of mine was on a highway crew that built through the old ladys land. He called me about it. Said get down there and get it.

That's great. Looks to be in pretty decent shape. Is the interior trashed? Looks like you need some experienced help driving the truck.

No, not really. I don't know anyone who could have pulled that think out without moving around like that. The angle was crazy and the place was full of huge holes, barbed wire and large trees.

man I am jealous.. reminds me of my '56 that I still regret selling and the '57 I p***ed on in Breckenridge. I was in the west end yesterday and some dumb store has the front end of a '56 in the window.

I vote pull the motor and put it in a hot rod and sell the rest.

Stay focused on the Hot Rod. Your going backwards

Thanks everyone. We won't be getting to the car anytime soon.

It might end up being a shop project or we might sell it. Who knows. One thing is for certain nothing is pulling me off of the Chevy and the Hot Rod.

    Thanks for the advice Rusty.

I opted out of it. I have enough on my plate right now, so the ol' boss owns it now. The car is my pet project though. In my excitement I forgot to mention that part! HA sorry. But I get the job of building it. There will be flake, lots of flake!
