WOW!!! That's a lot of dedicated work and very nicely done. Reminds me of the 36 3/w made from a sedan that was recently featured in R&C.

    I have a 34 5/w chopped 3 1/2".
This one looks to be chopped about 5 1/2-6".
Looks like they could have sliced a bit lower through the rear window and not ended up with the "corners of the mouth" on the rear window sides, which will take a bit of work to clean up.

I'm also wondering if they could have gotten away with one seam instead of two across the roof above the 'B' pillars?

Question; Did they have to mallet the hell out of the quarter top panels that much prior to rolling them in the English wheel? It seems as though they could have just rolled them out on the wheel w/o all the rippling done by the mallet work.

LOTS of work fabbing the beltline bead, quarter tops, bead lines, etc. They could have taken the easy way out with a set of SAR repro quarters, but the cost of those plus shipping to Europe probably buys them the English wheel and bead roller. If my shop was that well equipped, I guess I'd be having a go at the quarters as well!

You're gonna see a lot more of this style of building as original coupe/roadster bodies get way out of price range for the average stiff. Fordors are still fairly obtainable and if you can make something look as good as that out of it, I just might stock pile a couple fordor relics just in case.....

Most people just complain, these guys took what they could get and made it into what they wanted. You have to respect that.

We have trouble finding this stuff over here. I can't imagine what it's like over seas.

Some people have the belief that it will work, most people are afraid to try for fear of screwing it up. This one turned out really nice; I would like to have that talent.

Me too....I far prefer that original 4 door body over the cobbeled up "coupe",
    ho-hum.... yet another chopped coupe.....how...ordinary. [;)]

Ya know, when I get to thinking about it........
(and not trying to discount the amazing work here)

Is that really more labor than chopping an original coupe that has patch panels for the lower 4 inches of the body? Yeah, they're doing things that are outside the box with hand forming the trunk section. But ultimately, with the price of coupe bodies, shouldn't WE be doing the same thing stateside by now?

    Welcome Xav.

I loved that Fordor & I love the coupe. It's a shame that they aren't two different cars.

Ditch those headlights & you have a winner.
