You can do that on your PC too. Just click the restore ****on in the upper right corner of the window and it will make the pic full size.

Thanks, Mark! Mine's not as nice as yours though. Richard Glymph should be there. He gave me the chrome tape for the roof!

Thanks for the nice words guys! I'll try to get more pictures, but I'm leaving for Colorado tomorrow, and the car is still at the shop. My boss, Lou Calasibetta, also deserves big thanks for allowing me to spend many late nights, and all my recent weekends at the shop working on it. My bumpers and Edsel Wagon taillights should be back from the platers in a week or so. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The main body of the car is painted satin right now, but the roof is glossy. I may clear the whole car after it is pinstriped, but I'm running out of time. It may be back together to drive to Gettysburg, but it probably won't be finished (are they ever?). My friend and local upholsterer, Jim Krous also made me a pearl white tonneau cover for the bed, and some pearl white pleated fenderwell liners.

OK, I had to go up to the shop and pull it out in the sun again. Here are some better shots, especially of the flake. Enjoy!

I'd only like it better if it were in my garage right now!

We are in agreeance on that. Do NOT pinstripe- the paint is exactly where it needs to be! Slap the chrome on, the gl*** in, and you are there. And don't lower- the stance is perfect as well, that's why the pics look straight out of 1960. I don't know where in the manual it says it's mandatory that everything has to be 4 inches off the ground- big*** fifties kustoms can look pretty sweet at a stock height, and yours is one of them.

This model was made by ford motor co for select Edsal dealers as a promotion. They are factory built, not very many though. I know where one is sitting for sale. Has a SBF, 302 I think and a top loader four speed. Needs lots of TLC but a good start.

The car is actually lowered.....It's got 3 inch blocks in the back, and lowered coils in the front.

I had this debate with some one at Carlisle who swore they made 400 of these. This one and at least 6 others I know of were put together by their owners. According to the Edsel club and a gentleman I met who was instrmental in Edsel's early years, there were Never any of these factry built.

In 1958 the Ford/Edsel dealer got one of these in from the factory, right off the truck. If it wasn't factory built, it was damn sure delivered by a factory delivery. The one I know of for sale is the same one. It has been in Texas all of it's life. I was a car nut kid of 15 and this truck stuck with me as very unique.

    Curt,
My two cents worth: stripe it! I have the privilage to know both Carol and Alan. They are two of the best people, as well as talents, that we have in our hobby today! Awesome truck!
