    The Auto Color Library shows the only maroon in 32 as Ford Medium Maroon (code of IM1248) but doesn't give a mixing formula. Does anyone know if the code number is enough information for a paint store to mix from. If not where would I get the formula?

    The PPG Antique ford book lists it a just Maroon, not Medium Maroon. but lists it for 29,30,32

    It is PPG #1011

    Formula reads.

    DMA:333=150.0, 360=230.0, 358=640.0

    DMA= Parts per quart?

    The maroons I have identified are ford maroon, mulberry maroon and medium maroon. Any thoughts on which one this might be??

    I had a sample pot of the 1011 mixed and it was very purply like that roadster, almost an Aubergine. I think the Maroons are like Washington blue, get a line of cars supposedly the same colour and each one will be slightly different.

    That roadster is NICE! btw..

    Macs have the PPG book which has the proper color chips in it too, but in their paint listing Macs list the Maroon for 32 as Mulberry but the PPG book just lists it as Maroon same as the A?
    Are you trying to match a colour or painting a whole car?

    I'm in the process of replacing the original fuel tank (because it leaks) so I'm trying to match the color. Thanks for your input.

  8. My DuPont paint supplier has a Camera and can take a reading from the existing paint surface on your car..match it up to consider fade.etc....
    Camera sits down flat on surface of paint to be matched..They then plug camera into their computer and it gives them formula to duplicate color by
