Any word on the people who blew out a tire and rolled on I-44 ? They were coming from Springfield, Mo. NSRA and were from Texas.

  3. That's my Buddy, Big Mark's parents. I was with him when he got the call Sunday in Santa Maria. His folks were driving home from a car show and blew a tire. The car lost control, and ended up in a ditch on it's side. The p***enger door opened, his Mom fell out, and got pinned under the door. Apparently the ground was soft from an earlier rain and saved her life. I believe she has 2-3 broken ribs and a crushed leg. I think the dad faired pretty well since all the focus was on the Mom. Big Mark got to talk to both on the phone. I believe he left SM, drove home to Tahoe and flew to be with his folks.

Glad that they are ok, wonder which 40 it was. You guys know that I am partial to those 40's. I have had several blowouts and never had a wreck due to them. Always wonder what happens that causes loss of control. Maybe he will come on here and educate us.

  7. Glad to here they are Okay. Hows that go.... If you want to make God laugh, just tell him your plans. We never know when our turn will come. Again I'm happy they are doing good.

  8. I just talked to Big Mark, and his Mom's doing as good as one can hope with a broken Pelvis. He's still in Tahoe. He's going to Texas Friday to get his dad, and then go bring his Mom home. He asks me to thank you all for your concerns

    Wow glad they're alright!

I had my own brush with destiny last week, my hood flew up and I spun it(hollywood blvd, but a residential part..and the hood was entirely my fault, naturally)

It really made me look at safety and putting those daggone seatbelts in. Even if the mounts ain't perfect yet, they still woulda held me in the driver's seat. I always want something to be NASCAR spec :D

****in ****. That would scare the **** out of me if a loved one got hurt. Especially my poor old mom.
Thank god these folks are ok, I imagine a broken pelvis is not fun at all. My prayers and thoughts go to this family.

This news makes me feel reeal good about taking the reigns on my wifes car and making safe for her.
I recently spent about 10 hours reinforcing and patching the floors in her olds just to install seat belts. Last thing I need is my pregnant wife falling out of her car.

Thanks guys for all the info and updates. Prayers go to all involved. Always hate to see anything go wrong for our friends and family in the rodding scene. Let me know if there is anything we can do from Tulsa to help out. I hate it when I get a rock chip--let alone really messing up your ride. Prayers.
